Merry Belated CHRISTMAS and Happy New YEAR =)
Sorry I have not been updating my BLOG for a very long time. =)
Anyway, I been working PART TIME with an Oil and Gas Supplier Company during the holiday, it was fun but tiring at the same time. Nevertheless, the working experience was very useful and different from what I imagined about work. My lecturers in School always complaining how we are lazy, useless and HELPLESS students we are. Now, I always thought working and studying would be the same. ITS NOT!
It’s so different. Whatever I have LEARN T from school seem doesn’t really applied with my work or any of my tasks that were given. I used lots of computer SKILLS such typing, searching for PRODUCTS, e-mail with supplier and client and so on. Sometime I get to write a short summary about product we supply on the company website.
While working with the company, I get to experience with other field. I get to learnt and update myself with latest technology that used in Oil & Gas Industry. As well as DEALING with material and stock in the company. It came to my understanding that; a person doesn’t really need to pursue a DEGREE or MASTER to be good in your job. A person just needs to update themselves with the latest information concerning their field.
For example, a MATERIAL coordinator specialist should be knows their products very well. They should know who their supplier and who would buy their products. They should be able to PRESENT and CONVINCE their audience. THAT’S the item they need for their company. Do you actually learn this from school? You actually learn t these things from your normal daily life activities. Like when we tried to convince our friends or your parent about your plan and so on.
Anyway, this is just my opinions.
